PORK CALABRESE

a href=”http://eatmegourmetcatering.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/pork-chop-calabrese.jpg”>I first tasted this sandwich in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a place called Elsa’s on the Park. Their specialty sandwiches are referred to as “Pork Chop Sandwiches”.  My favorite is the Calabrese.  When we designed the Eat Me version, we started with a pork loin roast.  I slice 1/2 inch slices, pound them out into a paillard, then grill them.  The grilled pork is topped with a mixture of butter-sauteed mushrooms, onions and red bell peppers and pepper jack cheese.  We serve it up on a toasted ciabatta roll

That “Chicago Style” deep dish pizza really caught my eye.
Knowing your expertise, bet it tastes as good as it looks.
